The increase in the number of cars being fitted with turbochargers by manufacturers in order to reduce engine sizes and comply with the ever increasingly stringent emissions regulations has seen a significant rise in demand for turbo cleaners in order to maintain and extend the lifespan of turbos.
Replacing a turbo can be pretty pricey for some models, so extending the life of your turbo by servicing and cleaning can prove to be a very wise investment. Common symptoms caused by a dirty or clogged turbo can be a loss of power, a smoking exhaust, sticking turbo vanes, limp home mode or an engine warning light, excessively fuel usage or poor performance. These symptoms if caused by dirt build-up in the turbocharger can usually be solved using a turbo cleaning product.
WYNN’S TURBO CLEANER
Wynn’s Turbo Cleaner is a low-cost basic aerosol turbocharger cleaner that in most cases doesn’t require any dismantling of the turbo. The cleaner is used by simply spraying the product into the car’s air intake manifold and works by dissolving the built up gum, lacquer, carbon and varnish. For very dirty turbos disassembly of the turbocharger may be required for this product to work fully.
REVIVE TURBO CLEANER
Revive Turbo Cleaner is a professional turbo charger cleaning product that can be used to clean turbos in order to restore fuel economy, power and reduce exhaust emissions. Revive can also be used as a preventative treatment before each service to combat the build-up of carbon in the vehicle’s engine system. For cases of sticking vanes on a variable vane turbo, Revive can help to clean the mechanism and restore the normal movement. Revive works by stripping away the surface layer of built up oily carbon deposits as it passes through the vehicles engine system and emits these particles out through the car’s exhaust system.
Revive Turbo Cleaner has proved extremely popular with our customers and we’ve had some excellent feedback and reviews. Here’s just one of the product testimonials we’ve received, you can read more here.
“I’m always sceptical about these kind of products but my Jaguar 2.2d had sticking turbo vanes and the dreaded flashing glow plug light and limp home mode.
I got a few quotes from garages to fix and they all wanted £1000+ for a new turbo. I did web based research and found your product, and to be fair couldn’t find a poor review anywhere so decided to give it a go. I ordered a bottle from Autosessive (fantastic service from them) and me and the wife administered the treatment, it was a doddle, uncoupled the air pipe after the MAF and undid actuator cir-clip (so I could manually move vanes) and followed the instructions. Put it all back together and went for a drive – All problems had gone and I had forgotten how quick the car was when I had it!
I’d happily endorse your product to any Jaguar diesel owner – one of the first non Apple product in ages to exceed my expectations. Well done guys!”
How to use Revive Turbo Cleaner
Revive is a safe water-based product that’s friendly on the environment and simple to use, it is sprayed directly into the vehicle’s intake system while the engine is running so you don’t need to dismantle the turbo.
You can buy Revive Turbo cleaner from our store either as a Starter Kit (complete with a sprayer) or in handy 750ml Refill Bottle.
TURBO CLEANERS – THE DISCLAIMER!
Please be aware that turbo cleaners will not and cannot fix all turbo related problems. At the end of the day, they are a cleaning product and cannot repair worn parts or seized components. We’d always suggest using a diagnostic tool to fully investigate and identify the fault.
It should be noted that over 90% of turbo failures are oil related either from oil starvation, contamination or leaks. It’s important to use the right grade of engine oil for your vehicle and ensure you check your oil level on a regular basis
